ISSUES

I am running for State Representative because it's time to reduce our massive government in Harrisburg.

Not just talk about it but do it.

We have been waiting long enough for our representatives in Harrisburg to do the right thing in Pennsylvania. We currently have a Republican governor and a Republican-controlled House and Senate. Republican values including small government and lower taxation should be flourishing and yet they are not.

Why?

~~~~~~~~
Because the union bosses and the special interests within the political Establishment do not want it.
Let's take for example the state stores in Pennsylvania. How can a Republican-controlled government protect these monopolies that hurt consumers, taxpayers, the unemployed and the free market? Labor union bosses want to protect their members' gravy train, including their taxpayer guaranteed pensions.
It's time to end union and party boss control of
our state and the politicians that they fund,
and bring government back to the people.
~~~~~~~~

We must repeal oppressive "prevailing wage" laws that preserve union power while costing taxpayers as much as 30% in additional costs, as well as threaten to kill our non-unionized local companies.

It's time for Pennsylvania to become business and job friendly
by abolishing the state store system,
repealing oppressive "prevailing wage" laws
and ending forced unionism.

~~~~~~~~
We must change the Public Employee Pension. Instead of 401k's like most of us have, public employees AND elected officials receive a defined benefit pension plan that is guaranteed for life by you, the taxpayers. If the funds are not available for payout, your taxes will be increased to pay for it. The projected total taxpayer contributions for these two plans will increase from $1.1 billion this year to more than $5.5 billion in 2016 = a 421% increase!
In 2010, our Republican House members voted to "reform" the pension system by delaying payments in a "balloon style mortgage payment"-style. Guess who will be paying for the estimated $27 billion "reform". Your children and your grandchildren.
It's time to end taxpayer guaranteed pensions
for government employees and elected officials.
When elected, I will NOT accept a taxpayer funded pension.
~~~~~~~~

This last year, we also saw the fight for School Choice in Pennsylvania defeated, in spite of our Republican controlled assembly and the Republican governor who pledged to make this his #1 priority. Again, unions and special interests killed the effort.

It's time that every parent has a choice
of where to educate their children.

It's time for small government Republican values in Harrisburg. As your state representative I won't just talk about it but I'll do it.
